Trump is a liar. He lies as he breathes. Worse, his administration has mastered lying, cheating and stealing more than any leaders in history.

Psychiatrists warned us over and over again. Our media and leaders behave as if they know better. Bandy X. Lee has been threatened, mocked, fired from Yale and yet she continues to spell out the worst case scenario of a psychopath who remains unchecked.

Trump has threatened ‘nuclear annihilation, has been convicted of the most serious crimes, likely raped children, girls and women, mocks people incessantly, has put so many people in danger, hired people who are equally dangerous and unfit as revenge to America, and people are dying everyday because of his cruelty and policies. He was never successful at business, instead he mastered the “art of cheating”. Bankruptcy and suing people are how he’s succeeded. He’s selling America to the Saudis and Putin, cheating his followers and Americans go about their business hoping…hoping, what exactly?

You’ve heard the phrase“flood the zone”. It’s a tool in the psychological warfare toolkit. Americans can’t focus on a singular thing. If the only thing he ever did was say he intended to wipe out civilization, it’s likely he would have been gone a long time ago. But, each outrage and terroristic threat builds upon the last. (I wonder if the bankrupt Dr. Phil is advising his team?).

Mental Fitness Matters, in solidarity with Dr. Lee’s efforts has written an open letter to the open letter Dr. Lee sent to Congress and the former Presidents. If you are recognize the seriousness of the danger he has put Americans, their families, neighbors and the international community in, will you sign our letter? (link to google document).

Send the letter to everyone you know, podcasters you support, representatives in your community and state, church leaders, people you follow on Substack and post everywhere. Let people dismiss you, block you, tell you this won’t help and post negative comments to you. We’ve been so conditioned to be ‘liked’ and to be heard through our interactions online, I believe some people don’t speak up because they don’t want to be rejected. Whether or not Congress acts (the Republicans likely won’t), and if we survive, you will be documented as having taken a position. I implore our colleagues in the field of mental health, especially to also take a stand.
